Fabric + Frequency presents “Talent Profile” with beauty industry insider, Jhenelle Neon . Our fashion editor , Matthew Anderson, took a moment to sit down and get the scoop on all things “Neon Fix” and here’s what she had to say.
Matthew : Tell our readers a little about what is “Neon Fix” , how was it created and your role in the company?
Jhenelle : This industry is my “Neon”, an element on the periodic table with the atomic # of 10, rare in the earths atmosphere. Seeing hair, makeup and style come together is my addiction and every time I work I satiate my hunger for it …I get my fix.
Matthew : When did you know the beauty industry would be your career path?
Jhenelle : I’ve known since a little girl I would end up doing something artistic and something that would make people feel good. Hair, Makeup, style, and image is empowering. It’s a celebration of self.
Matthew : What projects and clients are currently on the neon fix roster?
Jhenelle : I’ll be launching my cosmetic line April 1st. called FIX’D &
I have a super yummy shoot coming up with Spray Ground /Co Co and Breezy.
Matthew : What is toughest part about your job?
Jhenelle :Treating my craft as a business.
Matthew : What is your dream project or client?
Jhenelle : fashion film, fashion film, fashion film! My NEONFIX cosmetic line is gonna be crazy! Complete with prosthetics, pigments. It’s going to be my Industry professional line.
Matthew : What do you see in future for Neon Fix?
Jhenelle : Full Production Studio / Open my website up as a social network for industry professionals and fashion/art community.
Matthew : Do you have any advice for aspiring beauty industry talent?
Jhenelle : My advice to any aspiring talent is to picture it in your mind, believe it, know you deserve it and it will manifest in your life…the physical world.
